Annie, you are simply perfect in every way!
I've been meaning to update your little journal for the longest time but we've been positively swamped with holiday events. We have been busy busy busy with Christmas preparation and then we took you to Ogden and SLC for a week. Even Christmas was so packed we didn't get to opening our presents until the 26th and we didn't put up our tree until Christmas eve! Sorry baby. But I think a busy life is a full life and you seem to agree because you are so happy and love the action. You thrive in crowds and cope so well with so many strangers wanting to play with you. You are perfect. Even your hair is perfect. It curls out at your ears and you have a big curl on top. You look just like Cindy Lou Hoo! So cute! I took these pics just so you could see how cute your curls are:

Did I tell you what your dad said? Probably, but I'll say it again. Q thinks that if we had a baby made to order piece by piece, you would have been delivered to us just as you are. He's right. You're amazing. I'm so lucky to be your mom.
The latest:
- You still love to suck on your hands but have now realized they can be used to grab things. You are starting to grab my hair and any other object that crosses the path of your hands.
- You love soft blankets. In fact, you cuddle with them when you nap or want to snuggle. You also pull soft blankets up to your face or over your head when you sleep just like Grandma Cindy. It's so cute. I bought you a silky blanket for Christmas and you love it! I can't believe you are so attached to soft silky things at only 5 months! (Which BTW, is today! Happy 5 month B-Day).
- You found your right foot first but now you grab both of them when you are lying down and pull them up to your face. In fact, this morning you started sucking on your toes! So cute.
- I spritzed your hair with your first hair spray on Christmas. It needed it. Have I ever mentioned that you have mad scientist hair? You do. It is crazy hair and geting crazier every week. I finally had to cut four huge knots out of the back! Seriously! I can't believe I'm already cutting knots out of your hair. Q asked if it counted as your first haircut and I shouted NO before he could even finish asking. At least I haven't had to comb knots out since. You actually liked when I had to comb knots out- but it took forever!

- Baby sounds galore! And we love your voice! You say "hi" all the time (at least that's what it sounds like). You are talking more and more. We love your little voice. You also blow bubbles and drool quite a bit and make funny faces. We love your "straight smile" and when you play with your tongue.
- Did I mention that you still have one arm wild at play when you eat? You are now starting to move your little legs too whenever you eat. Busy busy baby. Plus, when you see a bottle coming, you cannot contain your excitement. You start shaking and bouncing and we've got about 5 seconds to get that thing to your mouth. You are starting to get quite distracted while you eat and play with your bottle instead of eat. Suck suck suck, look around. Suck suck suck, smile at mom. Suck suck suck, blow bubbles and make funny sounds.
- You never cry. Ever! All the other babies had their moments at Christmas, but not you. You are super content to sit on my lap and watch all the action. You also let all the kids poke and squeeze and play with you and all the while you smile and smile. We think this is a big reason why all the kids love playing with you best. Sometimes we feel bad for the other babies who don't get nearly the same amount of attention. Of course, we could just be thinking this since we are totally baised about you in every way.

- Toys! You suddenly love toys. In fact, last night you had your first toy playing session and entertained yourself with toys for about half an hour. You normally have about a 15 minute toy attention span before we have to switch toys.
- I love popping my head over your cradle when you've woken because you shout out an exclamation of glee with the hugest smile the instant you see me. It's the best part of my day. It is so easy to make you smile. You are so happy all of the time. I can't get enough of your tiny little face. I often wonder how we made such a darling beautiful perfect pretty gorgeous girl. Do all parents think this? I can't imagine they do because they don't have you!
- You are sitting up so much better now. In fact, we noticed a huge difference since we came back from up north. You are doing so much better in your bumbo and activity center and just last night you were trying to sit up in your tub.

Look how cute you were at lunch when we took Grandma Hadley out for Greek in Ogden.

Also- I ate this authentic Ritter Sport (the real kind from Germany, not the fake Target kind) while I pushed you around Cabellas. You were sleeping the entire time. Good thing, since we were there FOREVER. Q would move into Cabellas if her could :)
